Do you remember when you took us and put us in gaudy tents? The freaks, the monsters, the spectacles. You made a mockery of us and called it a circus. But the mockery was the circus.
Now some years have passed and we are no longer afraid. We are even more different now. Now we are the circus, we are all the circus, and we spill across the streets. We are dressing the streets in gaudy and we are laughing at you.
You have given us old angers and old wounds. We use one to heal the other. Look for us on the corners: we are coming. And we are smiling as we come.
